Jailers find gun on man being booked inside Jasper County Jail

BEAUMONT, Texas — Deputies in Jasper County are investigating to find out how a 29-year-old Louisiana man ended up in the jail with a gun on Monday evening.

Brandon Clursky, 29, of DeRidder, La, was arrested Monday by Jasper Police officers on charges of making terroristic threats against a peace officer and resisting arrest, according to Deputy Karli Cherry.

Clursky was brought to the Jasper County Jail by Jasper officers at about 7 p.m. Monday night to be booked into the jail according to Cherry.

When jailers were issuing Clursky his jail clothing they discovered he had an unloaded gun, she confirmed.

He was then charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon with a previous conviction.

He is being held on bonds totaling $131,000.

Clursky has been arrested in Jasper County several times in the past.
