BEAUMONT, Texas — A criminal investigation has been launched into allegations against a Beaumont ISD substitute teacher.
Vincent Middle School administration was notified about the possible relationship on May 22 according to a Beaumont ISD statement.
The teacher was fired on May 24 according to the statement.
From a Beaumont ISD spokesperson:
On the evening of May 22, 2019 administrators at Vincent Middle School were made aware of allegations of an inappropriate relationship between a substitute teacher and a student. On May 24, the accused substitute was terminated effective immediately. The safety and security of our students is Beaumont ISD’s top priority, and the District is fully cooperating with the ongoing criminal investigation.
