ORANGE, Texas — Deputies were led on a high-speed chase in Orange that resulted in a vehicle rollover and followed by a foot chase.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department received a call around 8:30 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2023 of an individual doing donuts in the parking lot of a Home Depot located on the 600 block of Strickland drive according to Orange County Sheriff's Office Patrol Captain Christopher Frederick.
The driver is identified as Evans Kindred Dubouis, 30.
"Deputies were dispatched and the driver of the vehicle began a small pursuit for 2 miles. Deputies attempted to conduct traffic stops but the driver continued to flee at a high rate of speed on the 1000 block of North 16th street. The driver lost control, went airborne, hit a sign, and caused the car to rollover. Once the vehicle landed, the driver led deputies on a foot chase until he was tased and brought into custody of Orange County Sheriff's Department." he said.
Dubouis is charged with evading arrest with a vehicle and resisting arrest, search or transportation.
His bond has not been set at this time.
