HARDIN COUNTY, Texas — A Hardin County man has been found guilty on two counts of aggravated sexual assault child on Thursday.
Whitney Ray Coburn, 45, was found guilty for the abuse that happened in 2022.
Coburn was tried before the 356th District Court with Judge Steven Thomas presiding. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kaneshia Moore.
The victim was under the age of 6-years-old, according to a probable cause affidavit.
During the trial, jury members heard the testimony of 15 witnesses, one of which was a now 19-years-old woman detailing sexual abuse Coburn committed towards her when she was as young as 3-years-old, according to Hardin County news release.
Coburn was sentenced to 60 years in one case and 20 years in the second, but his sentences will run concurrently, meaning he will only serve 60 years.
Coburn will have to register as a sex offender when he is release from prison. He is not eligible for parole.
