Four wounded in two different shootings overnight Sunday in Port Arthur

​The two shootings do not appear to be related, Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso told 12News.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Port Arthur Police are investigating two overnight shootings Sunday night and early Monday morning.

Just after 11 p.m. Sunday night, officers were sent to the Gulfway Plaza shopping center in the 1600 block of Gulfway Dr.

Two people were shot in the leg in the parking lot of the Eclipse Lounge, according to Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso.

Both were taken to a Southeast Texas hospital by ambulance.

The shooter, whose identity is unknown to police, fled the scene,according to Duriso.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting, which happened during a disturbance, according to Duriso.

The two shootings do not appear to be related, Duriso told 12News.

About two and a half hours later at 1:30 a.m., officers were sent to the Port Arthur Town Homes in the 3500 block of Turtle Creek Dr. after another double shooting was reported.

Officers found two men there suffering from leg wounds following a disturbance, Duriso told 12News.

The two men appeared to have been shot inside a residence.

Police are unsure of a motive in the second shooting and have not made any arrests.
