JASPER COUNTY, Texas — A first responder was almost struck by a vehicle passing by while the responder was directing traffic around a single-vehicle roll over accident.
The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department went to a rollover accident around 8:45 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2023 in the 7000 block of FM 1005.
While a first responder was directing traffic around the perimeter of the accident, they almost got hit by a passing car according to a post on the Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page.
The driver from the single-roll over crash sustained minor injuries and transported to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital located on Marvin Hancock Drive.
Deputies at the scene pulled the driver over, arrested them and brought them to Jasper County jail.
There were also 2 dogs in vehicle who were checked out and were fine. They are in custody of a family member at this time.
