NEWTON, Texas — Two Newton County men have been arrested on federal charges for dealing meth as part of a long-term narcotics investigation in the county.
Glen Albert Stouffer Jr. and Charles Edward Isaac were both arrested at separate times and locations on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, according to a news release from the Newton County Sheriff's Office.
The arrest of Stouffer and Isaac are part of a long-term multi-agency drug investigation. More arrests are expected as the investigation is still under way.
Newton County deputies, Newton Police officers, state troopers and FBI agents from the Houston field office served the arrest warrants the release said.
Stouffer was arrested in the 10000 Block of Hwy 190 West in Bon Weir at about 9:15 a.m., Tuesday the release said.

- "Conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled substance: methamphetamine"
- "Possession with intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled substance: methamphetamine"
Isaac was arrested later the same day, just before 2 p.m., in the 700 block of County Road 4070 the release said.

- "Conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled substance: methamphetamine"
- "Possession with intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled substance: methamphetamine (actual).
- "Possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime"
- "Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person"
- "Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance on premises where children are present or reside"
