Vidor drug investigation leads to two residents charged for possession of a controlled substance

David Broussard and Jeanette Stanley have been taken into custody and are both facing charges related to the possession of controlled substance.

VIDOR, Texas — Two Vidor residents are in jail after investigators found over 50 grams of methamphetamine in their home. 

The Orange County Narcotic Division executed a search warrant in collaboration with the Rose City Marshal’s Office and the Orange County SWAT at approximately 6 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at a home on the 1000 block of Camellia Street in Vidor.

This joint operation between law enforcement agencies resulted in the discovery of over 50 grams of methamphetamine, The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. 

David Broussard and Jeanette Stanley have been taken into custody and are both facing charges related to the possession of controlled substance. 

Broussard was also found to have three outstanding felony warrants for possession of controlled substances, according to the release. 

The new charges filed against Broussard is Possession of Controlled Substance for the methamphetamine which is a second degree felony.

The new charges filed against Jeanette Stanley is also Possession of Controlled Substance methamphetamine which is a second degree felony.

"The Orange County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Honorable Judge Arkeen at the A128th District Court, Rose City Marshal’s Office, and the Orange County SWAT team for their assistance in this investigation," Holly Corley, Orange County Sheriff's Office Public Information officer said.
