14 men arrested in prostitution sting, including a North Texas fire chief, sheriff's office says

The prostitution sting in Lewisville was done on June 13, according to the Denton County Sheriff's Office.

DENTON COUNTY, Texas — The Denton County Sheriff's Office announced 14 arrests from a prostitutions sting in Lewisville, which includes a fire chief for a North Texas fire department.

The sheriff's office said the arrests happened on June 13 during the operation for attempting to purchase sexual favors for money. Those arrested were charged with Solicitation of Prostitution, which is a state felony. 

Here is a list of the 14 men who were arrested by the Denton County Sheriff's Office:

  3. Robert Busch
  4. Kashyapsinh Chauhan
  5. Jason Collier
  6. Ricky Davis
  7. Donald Ford
  8. James Hiatt
  9. James Jackson
  10. Jakari Johnson
  11. Victor Matute
  12. Demetrio Santiago Gutierrez
  13. Javier Trinadad
  14. Abin Varghese

According to the city website and the department's Facebook page, Jason Collier is the fire chief for Highland Village Fire Department. Collier has been with the Highland Village Fire Department since 2008 and was promoted to fire chief in September 2022.

Collier was also charged with resisting arrest, according to the press release from the sheriff's office.

WFAA has reached out to the Highland Village Fire Department and the city of Highland Village for comment. The city responded Saturday afternoon with the following statement: 

"On June 13, the City of Highland Village was made aware Fire Chief Jason Collier was arrested for Solicitation of Prostitution and Resisting Arrest. The Denton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. The City, acting according to City personnel policies, placed Collier on paid administrative leave. Effective June 15, 2024, Collier submitted his resignation and is no longer employed by the City of Highland Village."
