Bolivar man indicted for shooting at Rodeway Inn that injured one

The shooting happened just after 3 p.m. at the inn located at 1295 N 11th St in Beaumont.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont police have indicted a man in connection with a shooting at the Rodeway Inn Conference Center.

On Wednesday morning, just after 11:30 a.m., Beaumont Police Department's Special Assignments Unit took Demetrish Miles into custody. He was charged with aggravated assault.

So far, Beaumont detectives have interviewed three persons of interest.

Police say the shooting was related to a prostitution transaction and that there may be additional charges as the investigation continues.

Detectives have identified two female persons of interest who are pictured below. They have been identified as Stacy Sexton and  Brittany Guillory. Detectives have spoken to Neal, Sexton and Guillory.

The shooting happened just after 3 p.m. at the inn located at 1295 N 11th St in Beaumont.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, according to Beaumont Police Department Public Information Officer Haley Morrow.
