BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police and city inspectors shut down a spa Wednesday as part of an investigation into "female prostitution."
Detectives served a search warrant Wednesday morning at the Long Long Health Spa according to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department.
Inspectors from the Beaumont fire marshal and code enforcement departments were also involved police said.
Police served the warrant at about 9 a.m. at the spa in the 5400 block of College St.
Two people, who were at the spa when detectives arrived, were questioned and detectives collected "evidence of prostitution" according to the news release.
The spa was shut down because of multiple building and code violations that were found by inspectors.
Detectives are continuing to investigate.
At near the same time police and deputies in Vidor raided a massage parlor as part of an investigation into human trafficking and prostitution.
Currently there is no information linking the two investigations.
