Teen arrested after Beaumont shooting turns into a drug investigation

BEAUMONT, Texas — A teen is in custody after a shots fired call in Beaumont turned into a drug investigation.

When the Beaumont Police Department responded, officers did not find a shooter or a victim, but found the teen carrying drugs. 

Shortly before 1 p.m. a 911 caller told dispatchers that there was a shooting in the 5600 block of Springdale Ln.  

Officer Haley Morrow told 12News when officers got to the scene, they found evidence of a shooting, but no one was hit. 

One person involved was arrested on a non-related drug charge. Officer Morrow had no additional information on the shooting or the drug charge. Both remain under investigation.
