Beaumont police warn of 'scam emails claiming that recipients committed a traffic violation'

If you receive the scam email, do not open any links or send money.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police are warning residents of scam emails that claim recipients committed a "traffic violation" and should pay for the citation using a link.

Police stated that the "traffic violation" emails are fraudulent and Beaumont Municipal Court does not send emails about traffic citations. 

If you receive the scam email, do not open the link, do not respond to the email or send money.  

To check for any citations you may have, contact the Beaumont Municipal Court at 409-833-0555.
