Beaumont Police respond to multiple shots fired early Friday morning

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police responded to a call about multiple shots fired early Friday morning.

On Friday, March 15, 2024 at 4:53 am, BPD responded to the call at 5080 Helbig Road.

When officers arrived they found multiple shell casings in the parking lot and several damaged vehicles. A few minutes later officers were told that a victim of a shooting had arrived at a local hospital, according to BPD.

The victim said that he dropped his girlfriend off at an apartment complex, and when he was driving away, he realized he had been shot and drove himself to the hospital, BPD said.

The victim did not provide any additional information to police and refused to file charges.
