BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police are asking for help identifying and locating suspects after a victim was left in critical condition in what police believe was a targeted attack.
Officers responded to the 100 block of East Florida Avenue Saturday shortly before 9:30 a.m. after receiving a call about a victim of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a gunshot victim, according to a Beaumont Police Department release.
The victim was taken to a Texas hospital in critical condition. At this time, the identity of the victim has not been released.
Detectives released a picture of a car suspected to be connected to the shooting. Officers believe the driver of the car turned southbound on Highland Avenue when fleeing the scene.
Beaumont Police are asking anyone in the area, especially along Highland Avenue, south of East Florida Avenue, to check their cameras around 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 22. 2023 for any activity that could assist in this case.

It is believe the suspect vehicle turned Southbound on Highland when fleeing the scene. They are asking anyone in the area (especially along highland, south of Florida) to check their cameras around 9:15 am on Saturday, April 22 for any activity that could assist in this case. Preliminary information is that the victim was targeted.

On Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 9:23 am, Beaumont Police responded to the 100 block of E. Florida in reference to a Victim of a Shooting. When officers arrived, they located a gunshot victim who was transported to a local hospital by EMS and listed in critical condition. Detectives are asking Citizens and business owners in the area to check surveillance video and report any suspicious activity to Police.
