BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police have arrested a man they say robbed a Beaumont convenience store at gunpoint on Tuesday afternoon.
Tarrell Donald Nowlin, 51, of Nederland, was arrested by midnight Tuesday by Beaumont Police officers according to a news release from police.
He and the van police say he used during the robbery were found at the Budget Inn at 5375 College St. according to the release. Police say they found evidence linking him to the robbery of the Beaumont convenience store.
Police say they believe the van was also involved in an aggravated robbery in the 1600 block of Cardinal Dr. on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024.
Detectives believe Nowlin may have carjacked a vehicle in Nederland at about noon on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, the release said.
He was taken to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility where he was booked on charges for the Tuesday aggravated robbery in Beaumont, police said.
He is being held on a $300,000 bond.
Charges for the other robbery and carjacking are still pending according to police.
