BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police are investigating an early-Sunday morning shooting at an apartment complex just west of Parkdale Mall.
Officers were sent to the Delta Manor Apartments at 5740 Northwest Pkwy at about 2:49 a.m. after a person was reported to have been shot according to dispatch records.
Police say that someone fired fired multiple shots into an apartment building at the complex striking one person inside an apartment according to a news release from police.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a Southeast Texas Hospital with non-life threatening injuries police said.
The shooting happened about four hours after a fatal shooting four miles south at West End Crossing apartments on Phelan Blvd at Dowlen Rd. Police say the two shootings are not related.
Police did not release any other information and are continuing to investigate the shooting.
