BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police arrested a woman who was found with drugs and a gun on Friday.
On January 19, 2024 around 11 a.m., Beaumont Police Department narcotics detectives and SWAT team carried out a search warrant on a residence in the 3700 block of Detroit Avenue, after an investigation into narcotics trafficking, according to a BPD news release.
During the search, a large amount of pills to include suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine was found, according to the release.
There was also a handgun, and other evidence of narcotics trafficking located inside the residence, the release states.
31-year-old Tajuan Straughter, of Beaumont, was was the only person in the residence. She was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Today, 1/19/24 at 11 AM, Beaumont Police Department narcotics detectives and SWAT team executed a search warrant on a residence in the 3700 block of Detroit, following an investigation into narcotics trafficking. During the search warrant, a large amount of various pills to include suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine was found. There was also a handgun, and other evidence of narcotics trafficking located inside the residence. The lone occupant, 31-year-old Beaumont resident Tajuan Straughter was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance.
