Beaumont Police arrest a man after investigation, search warrant into drug trafficking

On Thursday, February 8, 2024 the Beaumont Police Department Narcotics Unit worked with SWAT, Special Assignment Unit and K-9 Unit to execute a raid on a hotel room.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police arrested a man for possession of a controlled substance after an investigation.

On Thursday, February 8, 2024 the Beaumont Police Department Narcotics Unit worked with SWAT, Special Assignment Unit and K-9 Unit to execute a raid on a hotel room at the Rodeway Inn in the 1200 block of North 11th St., according to BPD.

This comes after an investigation into the use of a hotel room to traffic drugs.

Inside of the hotel room, detectives allegedly found 44-year-old Terrance Cormier, of Beaumont along with suspected methamphetamine, BPD said.

Cormier was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
