Man, woman busted with guns, coke, crack during traffic stop in south Beaumont neighborhood

Two handguns, 50 grams of cocaine, 30 grams of crack and 14 ounces of marijuana were found.

BEAUMONT, Texas — A Beaumont man and woman are behind bars after police found guns and drugs in their car during an afternoon traffic stop in a south Beaumont neighborhood.

Keith Allen Fowler Jr., 30 and Ty’Keyah Alliyanna Coleman, 23, both of Beaumont, were arrested Wednesday by Beaumont Police officers, according to a news release from police.

The officers pulled Fowler over in the 1900 block of Nora for a traffic stop just before 2:30 p.m. according to the release.

During the stop officers found two handguns, 50 grams of powdered cocaine, 30 grams of crack cocaine and 14 ounces of marijuana the release said.

Both Fowler and Coleman were taken by police to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility to be booked.

Fowler, who is on federal probation, was booked on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, evading detention, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Coleman was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
