Beaumont man wanted after victims lured to robbery in hopes of buying iPhone at apartment complex

BEAUMONT, Texas — Police are looking for a 22-year-old man after a February 16 robbery where they say victims were robbed while trying to buy an iPhone. 

Jerrel Marshall is wanted on two aggravated robbery warrants. 

If you know where he is or have information, you're asked to call Beaumont Police at 409-832-1234 or Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS (8477).

Investigators say they're still working on this case. Other charges stemming from it 'are forthcoming,' as well as other similar cases.

The Beaumont Police Department has obtained two Aggravated Robbery Warrants for 22 year old Jerrel Marshall.

On Sunday, February 16, 2020, Beaumont Police received a report of an Aggravated Robbery that had just occurred at the apartment complex located at 5230 S. MLK. The victims were lured to the complex by the suspect, who was falsely advertising an iphone 11 for sale on Facebook Marketplace. When the victims arrived at the location to purchase the phone, the suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property before fleeing the scene. During the investigation, the suspect was identified and on Wednesday, April 8, Aggravated Robbery Warrants were issued. The investigation is on-going and additional charges stemming from this case, as well as other similar cases, are forthcoming.
