BEAUMONT, Texas — A Beaumont man has pleaded guilty to robbing a father at gunpoint in front of his two young children last June.

The father told police he was robbed while his toddlers where in a car with him in on a Saturday evening in June 2022 at the Lakeside Apartments on Major drive.
Cunningham pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery in a plea deal which included dropping a charge of evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
He is set to be sentenced on June 1, 2023 by Judge Stevens, who can send him to prison for five to 15 years as part of the plea deal.
Without the plea deal Cunningham could have faced up to 99 years and a $10,000 fine on each of the three charges.
Stevens has ordered a pre-trial sentencing report before pronouncing Cunningham's sentence.
