Beaumont man facing child sex assault, charges in Hardin, Jefferson County

The cases will be handed over to the Hardin County District Attorney’s office to be presented to a grand jury.

KOUNTZE, Texas — A 26-year-old Beaumont man accused of soliciting minors online is facing eight second-degree felony charges, each with a possible 20-year sentence.

Tyler Oneil Davis, 26, of Beaumont was arrested Thursday and taken to the Hardin County jail after he was accused of soliciting at least two 16-year-old girls in Hardin County according to Hardin County Sheriff Mark Davis.

He is also accused of soliciting another teen in Jefferson County.

Tyler Davis faces two counts each of sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child, possession with intent to promote child pornography and online solicitation of a minor according to jail records.

Each charge is a second-degree felony with a punishment range of two - 20 years in prison.

The cases will be handed over to the Hardin County District Attorney’s office to be presented to a grand jury.

Bonds on seven of the charges are set at $250,000 each for a total of $1,750,000.  

As of 1 p.m. Friday, bond had not yet been set for one charge of indecency.
