BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police arrested a 43-year-old Beaumont man early Friday morning following an investigation into drug dealing from a home.
Detectives and officers from the department's narcotics, SWAT team and special assignment unit along with a K9 raided a home in the 1500 block of Victoria St at about 5 a.m. Friday according to a Beaumont Police news release.
After serving a search warrant and searching the home police arrested Anthony Carrizales, 43, of Beaumont, who was the target of a lengthy investigation according to the release.
Police had been investigating drugs being sold from the home.
When detectives searched the home they found a large amount of what they suspect to be methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl and a stolen handgun. They also found more than $500 in cash.
Carrizales, who is a convicted felon, was taken to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility where he was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1B. He was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
His bond on the charges have not yet been set according to jail records.
