BEAUMONT, Texas — A Beaumont man was arrested after a drug bust on Monday.
On March 11, Beaumont Police responded to a call about a disturbance at a residence in the 2200 block of Hemlock.
While patrol officers were on scene investigating the disturbance, they noticed signs of narcotics trafficking, according to a BPD news release.
BPD Narcotics detectives were notified and began an investigation which led to a narcotics search warrant at the residence.
Detectives found a large amount of narcotics including suspected marijuana, methamphetamine, fentanyl, THC oil/wax, US Currency, 4 handguns and an AK style rifle, the release states.
The suspect has been identified as Charles Leaven, 38, of Beaumont. Leaven was arrested for assault family violence and transported to the Jefferson County Jail before the execution of the search warrant, according to the release.
Additional charges will be filed, according to BPD.
