LUMBERTON, Texas — Police say 23 new criminal complaints were filed on Thursday against a Beaumont man accused of being involved in a number of car burglaries.

Devonta Tyrone Stoker, 18, was arrested in Lumberton on Wednesday, and faces a long list of charges, including evading in a motor vehicle, failure to identify, theft of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
Sullins told 12News by phone on Thursday the new charges include Class A misdemeanors as well as state felony jail charges.

Sullins said some of the people who had property stolen have already claimed the items, and one weapon that was taken will remain in evidence for potential federal charges to be filed.
Sullins said ATF was in Lumberton to investigate possible federal charges to be filed against Stoker.
