Autopsy report of Beaumont man found dead inside house released

Ronald Barnes died from a 'gunshot wound of the shoulder and neck' according to the report.
​Just after 3 a.m., officers responded to a house in the 2200 block of Ives St. in reference to a homicide.

BEAUMONT, Texas — The autopsy report of a man found dead inside a house early on September 14 has been released.

Ronald Barnes, 57, died from a "gunshot wound of the shoulder and neck," according to the autopsy report.

The report also reveals that "multiple BB shot pellets" were recovered from his chest.

Just after 3 a.m., officers responded to a house in the 2200 block of Ives St. in reference to a homicide. 

When they got there, they found the body of Barnes inside the house.

Officers say the person of interest is Shanna King who appears to be 40 to 49 years of age with a noticeable scar on her lip.

She is known to frequent hotels in the area of 11th Street and I-10, according to police. Detectives would like to speak with her.

Police have already spoken to at least two other "persons of interest" in connection with the homicide.

Beaumont Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Detectives, in coordination with the Narcotics Unit, are leading the investigation. 

Police ask that if anyone has information on King's whereabouts to contact the Beaumont Police Department at 409-832-1234.
