BEAUMONT, Texas — In a lengthy Facebook post Bettina Evans, chef and owner of Betty Jeans Homestyle Cooking, officially announced they were closing their doors for good.
"In this industry businesses come and go. You have your ups and your downs, your peaks and your valleys," Chef Evans said.
On the post, an out-pour from the community, saying how much they’ll miss one of Beaumont’s well-known eateries.
"That was our biggest joy being able to serve our family to the community," General Manager Oscar Evans said.
This business just the latest of a few to close on Beaumont’s West End recently.
K Bobs closed not to long ago as well.
"Unfortunately for our community it's so small, we've had several restaurants to close. I think I may be number 5," Chef Evans said.
Little Woodrows opened it doors for the first time Monday night.
"The community can't really support this many restaurants. I'm not sure what the dip was," Chef Evans.
