BEAUMONT, Texas — One lucky Beaumont resident is $1 million richer after scratching off a $20 Texas Lottery ticket and claiming a top prize in the game.
The winner, who has opted to be anonymous, bought the Hit $1 million ticket in Beaumont at the Buzzy Bee located at 350 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy, according to a news release from the Texas Lottery.
This is the first of four $1 million prizes to be awarded in the scratch-off game, according to the release.
The Texas Lottery announced the big win on Thursday morning.
Hit $1,000,000 offers more than $88.5 million in total prizes.
Your odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.41, including break-even prizes, according to the Texas Lottery.
