A motion to dismiss six charges against former Beaumont Independent School District electrical contractor, Calvin Walker, has been denied by the Ninth District Court of Appeals on Wednesday.
Walker had sought to have the charges dismissed saying that the trial court had ruled on his motion previously without conducting an evidentiary hearing and without notifying him that it would be ruling on his motion without a hearing.
Walker, an electrical contractor for BISD and the City of Port Arthur, was originally indicted for fraudulent billing practices and money laundering in July of 2014.
He was indicted on four felony charges of Securing Execution of a Document by Deception and two felony charges of Money Laundering.
