BEAUMONT, Texas — Holton Pepper is a sports reporter at 12News in Beaumont, Tx, specializing in sports reporting and anchoring weekend sports.
Pepper joined the 12News sports team in September 2023 and will be anchoring the weekend sportscasts.
He's an East Texas guy who was born in Kilgore and spent much of his childhood there and in Nacogdoches before graduating from Sabine High School in Gladewater.
Pepper earned his bachelor's degree in sportscasting in May 2023 from the Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.
While a student, he completed internships with Florida Travel Baseball creating highlight reels for teams with MLB top 10 draft picks and the Foul Territory podcast where he was a production assistant/editor.
Pepper is a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and the Texas Rangers, but says he has a passion for all sports in the great state of Texas.
