Two Entergy contractors killed in Crystal Beach crash

The vehicle then careened towards the two workers, who were reportedly walking by the road, before hitting and killing them.

BOLIVAR PENINSULA, Texas — A crash in Crystal Beach Wednesday morning left two Entergy contractors dead.

According to the Crystal Beach Volunteer Fire Department, a 19-year-old woman was making her way through Crystal Beach before her vehicle suddenly veered off the road at the intersection of State Highway 87 at Surfside.

The vehicle then careened towards the two Entergy contract workers, who were reportedly walking by the road, before hitting and killing them.

At this time it is still not known what caused the woman to leave the road.

Entergy has released a statement following the accident.

"We are deeply saddened about the tragic event that took place in the Bolivar community Wednesday morning. Our hearts go out to the families, friends and colleagues of both individuals," said Debbie Bridgeman in a press release.

This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.
