The Veterans Memorial Bridge was closed Friday briefly afternoon following a suicide on top of the bridge.
Traffic has been shut down to one eastbound lane on the bridge after a person committed suicide atop the bridge according to the Port Arthur Police Department.
The Port Arthur Police Department confirmed that the person is deceased.
