PORT ARTHUR — Officials with Drainage District Seven in Port Arthur say that all of the pumps are operational.
20 of the pumps are running in Port Arthur, Groves, Nederland and other parts of Mid County.
Drainage District Seven says their pumps work on an automatic system that detects high water levels without having to manually turn on the pumps.
"We have been working 24-hours non-stop and no failures or issues at all," said Brian McZeal, the supervisor for Drainage District Seven.
McZeal says they are advising residents to be patient until the pumps can drain all of the flood waters.
